What is the CU Buffs Live Green Campaign?
Environmental change is happening all over our planet- global warming,
energy crises, drought, war, pollution. It can be overwhelming.
Luckily we as young people have the power to create change. We have
consumer power as well as the power to make smart choices that add up
to make huge differences in the world. Our generation has to be the one
to make a real impact. It’s a big responsibility, but it does not have
to be hard, and by choosing to Live Green you can personally make a
difference.
The Live Green Campaign is here to provide you with information and to help you make decisions that will positively impact the planet.
By taking the CU Buffs Pledge to Live Green, you will receive a monthly Live Green email newsletter. Each month, the Live Green campaign will have a different featured topic with tips, tools and resources. Learn what you can do to make a difference. We promise not to use your email for any other purposes.
The Live Green Pledge:
I pledge to live green by informing and educating myself on decisions I make that impact others and the environment. I will strive to increase my understanding of environmental consequences of my behavior and seek sustainable options to create a better world.
Between now and April 22, 2010 (Earth Day), for CU students, faculty and staff that sign the CU Buffs Live Green pledge, CU will match each signed pledge with $5 towards campus sustainability projects that reduce CU's carbon footprint.
