Boulder Buy Local Week
Saturday - Sunday, November 28th - December 6th Boulder
Last year Coloradoans spent $12.7 billion during the holidays, which represents a huge chunk of $ for retailers. And since money spent at locally owned businesses reciruclates at least three times more in our community, where you spend your money really does matter.
A shift of just 10% of your purchases toward local retailers means more people are getting a paycheck, paying their rent, and getting what they need from other local businesses.
This event will bring together local business owners, community leaders and lovers of all things local to kick off the campaign and enjoy local food and music. The event (hosted by Swallow Hill) will start with a reception, include a great live auction of local fun-ness to benefit the work of MHBA and finish with performances by local musicians Cliff Eberhardt and Chris Daniels. Kickoff Event: Swallow Hill 71 East Yale Avenue Denver, CO
6:00 - 7:00 pm - Free reception with local food, complementary drinks and an opportunity to network with local businesses 7:00 - 7:30 - Live auction (featuring items from local businesses) to benefit the Mile High Business Alliance's work to build a healthier local economy 7:30 - Dessert in cafe; doors open for Cliff Eberhardt and Chris Daniels 8:00 - Welcoming words and proclamation of Buy Local Week 8:15 10:15 - Concert (tickets required; purchase them now) MHBA members can purchase tickets for the member price of $15 each in advance ($17 day of show)
