Steve Smith

Steve Smith is Associate Southwest Regional Representative for the Sierra Club. He works as an advocate and organizer of Sierra Club members for preservation of wild lands, ecologically sound management of public lands, sustainable federal energy policy, and public transportation, primarily in Colorado. Steve served for twelve years as Senior Congressional Assistant to Congressman David Skaggs of Colorado, working on environmental, public lands, agriculture, and transportation issues. He is a former director of the University of Colorado Environmental Center and a former manager of public recycling programs in Boulder and Fort Collins, Colorado.
