2008 Colorado Bioneers

October 17-19, 2008

University of Colorado at Boulder

Welcome

Bioneers (www.bioneers.org) is the preeminent international gathering of leading scientific innovators and environmental visionaries who offer practical solutions to the most pressing environmental and social issues of our time. Bioneers, in its 19th year, uniquely and authentically connects the dots between environment, health, social justice and spirit. Bioneers offers virtual conferences to educational institutions and community centers around North America. There is great potential for community networking and local organizing in Beaming Bioneers. The community-based nature of the satellite conferences facilitates a vibrant exchange among participants and allows for experiential activities and workshops. The program is designed to support individuals and organizations in learning about their own ecosystems, including urban environments, and how they can take action locally.

In its sixth year, the Colorado Bioneers companion event creates community opportunities for sharing, learning and action, and brings together the region's progressive ideas, people and organizations. This is a uniquely affordable community event that brings together people from all walks of life working for social change. The 5th annual Colorado Bioneers features a live satellite feed of the main Bioneers plenaries, and is locally enriched with the Green Living Marketplace; film, music and arts; networking; children's eco-activities; service projects, and sessions and workshops on regional issues and community solutions.

Bioneers in Colorado is produced by University of Colorado Environmental Center in collaboration with numerous partner organizations.
